Christine Ann Rohrbach, known affectionately simply as Chris, passed away peacefully in York, Pennsylvania on November 28, 2025. She was 67 years old. Born in Reading to the late Roger W. and Dolores A. (Schmeck) Hamilton on June 6th, 1958, Chris devoted much of her life to caring for others.

For many years she served as a beloved school nurse in the York area, where her kindness, calm presence, and quick smile made her a favorite among students and staff alike. 

She had a special gift for putting anxious children at ease and always knew exactly when a hug or a Band-Aid (or both) was needed most. She loved her 3 dogs, cooking and gardening.

Chris was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Rohrbach, and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Megan McMurtry (Mark); her son, Jonathan Pettit (Sara); her cherished grandson, Finn McMurtry; her sister Debbie Delucas; as well as a wide circle of extended family and friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 19 at St Joseph's Catholic Church at 2935 Kingston Road York at 9:30AM in the main entrance of the church, followed by the funeral Mass at 10:30AM in the church, with the funeral luncheon immediately following the Mass.
