Jessie Ethel (Goudy) Borges, 91

Born 01/16/1934 in Beddlewood, NJ to Maxon L. Goudy and Elda Irene (Marshall) Goudy. She died of natural causes on 01/09/2026 in Leola, PA.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Borges Jr., Falls River, MA, son, Donald A. Harron, Fulton, KY and 10 siblings. Jessie is survived by her brother James Goudy, Yuma, AZ, daughters Veronica “Elice” Teunissen (David), of PA and Geneva M. Hall, FL. 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Jessie’s career was as a supervisor for the Social Security Administration in Baltimore, MD.  Retiring in Seminole, FL prior to relocating to Leola, PA.  Her hobbies included sailing on the Chesapeake with Charles. They were officers of the Coastguard Volunteer Flotilla that helped many boaters in need.  A member of the Elks and the Ladies of the Elks, St. Petersburg Lodge 1224. Jessie was an avid reader and loved word search puzzles, traveling, concerts, shopping and dinning out.

Jessie spent her final years living peacefully giving her life to Christ in Leola, PA under the care of her granddaughter Melisa Elliott and great grandson Ethan A. Wolfe.
