Jeremy S. Charles, 39, of Holtwood, passed away unexpectedly in a tragic accident on February 23, 2026. Born on April 30, 1986, in Lancaster, he was the son of Benjamin and Beth (Lainhoff) Charles and the beloved husband of Kristen Charles, with whom he shared 17 years of marriage.

Jeremy was a proud graduate of Solanco High School, Class of 2004. He began his career in construction that same year, finding deep satisfaction in building with his own hands and taking pride in a job well done. He was always the first to offer help on any project, no matter how big or small.

Five years ago, Jeremy began a new chapter working for Amtrak. He approached his work with dedication, reliability, and an unwavering work ethic that earned the respect of everyone around him.

Above all else, Jeremy loved his family fiercely. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was especially proud to be a Field Hockey dad to his daughters, Isabelle and Abigail, rarely missing a game and cheering them on as their biggest fan. Jeremy was an avid outdoorsman and hunter who also enjoyed reloading bullets, tackling DIY projects, working out, hiking, and spending time with the people he loved most.

Jeremy was a Christian and a member of Grace Community Church in Willow Street.

In addition to his wife, Kristen, he is survived by his daughters, Isabelle and Abigail, both at home; his parents, Benjamin and Beth Charles; his brother Rob Charles, husband of Kim, and their children Caleb and Sydney; and his brother Mike Charles, husband of Leanne, and their children Benjamin and Nicholas. He is also survived by many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives were deeply touched by his kindness, humor, and generous spirit.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Community Church, 212 Peach Bottom Road, Willow Street, PA 17584, March 6, 2026, at 5 p.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Weitzel. Refreshments will follow the service. In honoring his memory and celebrating his life, the family invites everyone to wear casual, comfortable clothing instead of traditional black.

Our son Jeremy will be missed beyond words. Our hunting buddy, with his dad for 27 years - mine fir 14. There to scout, shoot ( he rarely missed), drag, gut and offer guidance. We rejoiced in waking up in the woods, marveled at God's creations. He was always there, in triumph and tragedy to offer a hand. Everywhere you look in his home and ours you see his handiwork. He ," Got the job done, James ". He loved everything about guns, loading his own ammo. A crack shot, in impossible odds, deer bologna sandwiches became a favorite. An Eagle Scout with Troop 91 helped cement being outdoors. His dog Ruger will be so happy to see him again. First in line with his girls, Isabelle and Abby. Hockey dad, if he wasn't watching he was helping at the concession stand. They know he is watching over them and by their sides. He never forgot to say,"Thank you", not once. He was our heart and soul and brought so much joy into our lives. The outpouring of love from his brothers, family, friends shows how much he meant to everybody. Paw Paw was his biggest fan. I would always change seats with him so they could sit together at games. He always has questions about work. The last message to him was to be careful, and he was - this should have never happened He enjoyed one last vacation in the Caribbean with Kristen and the girls a few months ago. He wasn't too keen but I told him with the girls growing up so fast there might not be many more left. Little did I know. He would never have left his family alone, always walking side by side protecting them. A baseball player in school, a soccer player he was always on the move He lives in our hearts forever, until we see you again- Love, Mom and Dad
