How did you meet Susan?
I have know Susie since we were children in grade school. We became best friends from day one. I will miss those beautiful blue eyes with that mischievous twinkle, that light up her smile. She was the “wordly” traveler. I was her touchstone, steadfast waiting here in Idaho for her return. Susie would share her adventures in Peru, or Bogota, where ever her family ventured. We grew up vicariously sharing our stories. When she was here we went camping, learned how to ride motorcycles and horses with my family. Then…we discovered boys. Let the memories and fun times begin… When Susie began her family, Sam was 3 and Katie was months old when she started moving around again. Following her family to North Carolina. We lost track of each other for several years, until she wound up in Texas. We reconnected in the early 90’s and she introduced me to Dennison Texas -Susie Q’s and her new friends and family. Thanks to Kathy and Susie for the road trips for all our fiftieth reunions at Borah HS. It was great to get reacquainted with friends. Shout out to all of you who stayed in touch with her through facebook, text and phone calls this past year with sharing memories and photos. Your positive vibes, love and energy helped sustain her. Heartfelt gratitude to her family: Sam, Kathy, wBrian, Katie and Quin for the exceptional support, love and care you provided for her. Being a caregiver is hard work emotionally and physically. Thank you, love you! She was where she wanted to be, surrounded by family and love. So sorry she didn’t make the last trip to Texas in May, but Glad Sam, Emily and Kathy were able to have one more visit with her. Sorry I wasn’t able to be there in person and I missed seeing Buddy as well. Susie I love you, miss you every day, feeling untethered, but know I will see you on the other side!
