Darrell E. Buchter, 64, of Ephrata, passed away at his residence on January 16, 2026, after a brief but aggressive illness. Born in Ephrata in 1961 to Alvin and Lorelei (Sweigart) Buchter, he was the loving husband of Lisa Wenrich Buchter with whom he shared 22 years of life.

For nearly 40 years, Darrell was an iron worker before becoming a crane repairman for another 10 years. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Shawn R. Buchter and Brittany L. Peruzzotti, and his two precious grandchildren, Banks Buchter (age 3), and Reece Peruzzotti (age 2). They were his pride and joy; he loved spending every minute he could with them. 

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
